Fruity

A couple of weeks ago now I hosted a body shop party for all of my friends.

I had been thinking for a while of a good excuse to get all my girlfriends together and do something a bit different. A friend of mine had recently become a body shop consultant; I had a lightbulb moment and booked a party through her.

I would recommend a body shop party to anyone who's interested in the body shop brand. Everyone had so much fun and it was an added bonus being able to test all of the products in the comfort of my home, with good company and nibbles.

The night went quickly and by the end of it we were all several pounds lighter and smelling of all sorts of fruity delights. As the host I had the added incentive of £25 credit if my guests spent big, so some of time was dedicated to filling up wine glasses and recommending products in the hope the booze would loosen their purse strings.

The booze worked wonders! I had a scan through the catalogue to see what freebies I could get; I chose to get the Vitamin E BB cream and the Shimmer Waves bronzing pallet in 01 Bronze.  Since the BB cream arrived I have been wearing less makeup and my face has felt fresher, like putting on a cotton dress on a hot day.

The cream is suitable for all skin types; my mum and sister have been stealing it for themselves (annoyingly). It's not everyday I find a product I am instantly happy with, I am wearing my hair off my face more and the mirror's never seen me so smiley after a late night or early morning. The cream acts as a moisturiser and offers the right amount of coverage for the warmer weather. It will easily be my summer make-up staple.

The shimmer pallet i also ordered was not a disappointment either. I was a bit skeptical at first as to how i would get on with so many colours in the one product, however for me this works so well. When applying this product i tend to use a little bit of all the colours in different arrears. The lighter shades work so well with the darker wave and together they create a great colour on the face. The shimmer is not overpowering so you don't look like a disco ball and i feel the product lasts a long time once applied. I have been using this with the BB cream and it has helped me to create a great summer look for my skin.

As i got the BB cream and Shimmer Pallet for what only came to £1 i felt i could splurge on a few other items. I love the Body Shop products and i think for me their ethics make them even more appealing. Our local Body Shop has just closed down much to my disappointment, so i stocked up on a few essentials.
A few essentials.

This is one of the most amazing things i have ever smelt. Satsuma Beautifying Oil, it can be used on the hair, face and body. I love how it is not greasy and doesn't feel too oily when applied and it makes you smell delicious.

The ginger shampoo is something that as a child was always in the house. It has the most intense ginger flavour and is great for nourishing the scalp, only after a few washes my hair feels a lot softer and smells so good.

This has got to be one of my favourite Body Shop products ever. I use it everyday and couldn't recommend it enough. It smells amazing, feels amazing and leaves your skin feeling nourished and hydrated.

Hope you've enjoyed my post.
